Dear artists and art appreciators:

I regret to announce that Woodman Studios of Silver Spring will no longer be hosting the show planned for Friday May 15th. Due to circumstances beyond our control we will be unable to hold any further events at our home gallery space. We appreciate your enthusiasm and support through this venture.
Though our doors will be closed, the creative adventure continues. Our chief designer, Jonathan Sears, has decided to pick up where we are leaving off. Outside of his work with Woodman Studios, Jonathan has currated and helped organize events throughout the DC area, most recently including
Laced: The Art Show. All of the applications for the May 15th show have been forwarded to his new project, "reCollect Creative." The blog for this endeavor can be found at: http://www.reCollectCreative.blogSpot.com. We look forward to your continued patronage.

Sincerely,

Ryan McKibbin
Executive Director

Open Call for the Spring 2009 Show

We would like to announce an OPEN CALL for artwork to be displayed in our next show, taking place this spring. As J. Sears of the collective has agreed to curate another show on April 3rd, in the Georgetown district of Washington DC, the date/title of our spring show has yet to be determined. We do expect it to take place mid to late May though, so ask that all interested applicants submit materials by Monday, April 20th.

All interested artists, please send between 3 and 10 images along with a text file including all pertinent information (i.e. titles, sizes, materials, etc.) to us at:

(We also ask that all materials be included in one zipped file if possible.)

More info on our spring show and the April 3rd event will be launched here, on the blog, in the coming weeks, so please stayed tuned ...or just subscribe to our RSS feed!

Thanks,
-WS
